Short-Term Rentals and Occupancy Permits

The Greater Prague City Authority has confirmed a decision issued by the Building Office of Prague I Municipality against the (corporate) owners of a flat let out on short-term rentals.

The decision carried a fine of 20.000 CZK for having used the space in a manner that is inconsistent with its occupancy classification (“apartmens”).

The City building authorities will now accept only a “lodging” classification.
